Karin Hoffman YTRx, RYT-500
“Larry Payne’s Yoga Therapy Rx™ Program gave me the skills and confidence to work with people facing a variety of health challenges and launched my career as a Yoga Therapist. After graduation 3 years ago, I was hired by UCLA as the Stress Management Specialist, teaching yoga to cardiac patients in Dean Ornish’s Program for Reversing Heart Disease. I also see private clients and teach yoga to the cancer and Parkinson’s community. I made a nail-biting decision to completely change my career in my 40’s, fearful of losing my financial stability as a graphic designer. My own health challenges convinced me to follow my heart. I’m grateful I did because I love what I do; encourage people to support their health through yoga.”

Jasmine Rausch YTRx-800, E-RYT
“I was first drawn to study yoga as a way to deepen my own understanding of the body. After each practice, I felt stronger and was overwhelmed by a sense of calm. I found this practice to be a gift that I wanted to share with others. The desire to teach was elevated through my studies in the Yoga Therapy Rx™ program. I gained knowledge about the physical, mental and emotional states that impact our health. The opportunity to study under and collaborate with a range of healthcare practitioners (of both Eastern and Western medicine) has shown me how to evaluate my clients from different perspectives. More importantly, the Yoga Therapy Rx™ program taught me to see people living with conditions, rather than looking solely at the conditions that are affecting people. Applying these tools has made a significant impact to my approach and the success of my business. My clients are seeing strong improvements in their quality of life, expressing that our time is the only time they feel is about them and not their condition!”

Andre Haralyi MA, C-IAYT
“The YTRx Program offered me not only the opportunity to study the ancient teachings of Yoga through the lenses of modern science and a deeper understanding of how Yoga can be used in a medical setting but also provided me the a great variety of practical tools and the necessary professional experience to confidently address my patients and students needs. The research I started during the program helped me to develop the basis of my Stress Management class at USC.” |

May Che, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500
“When I returned from India having already completed a 200 hour Yoga Therapy Training, I knew I wanted to further this path. The Yoga Therapy Rx training is truly one of a kind! Being mentored by high caliber Eastern and Western doctors gave me a wide enough perspective where I can formulate my own methods and procedures to better service my clients.
During Level 1 training in 2011, I found myself leading group classes more mindfully and intelligently and I was approach more frequently to teach privately. By 2014, re:YOGA Therapy + Wellness was born where we specialize in offering yoga therapy to private clients, companies, and rehabilitation centers. I cannot be more appreciative of Larry Payne and his inspiring team of teachers!” |

Paula Tapia, C-IAYT, E-RYT 500
“Having completed Yoga Therapy Rx Level IV provided me with the necessary tools, confidence and credibility to present my work within the Integrative Medicine field. Today, I have a full time private practice based in Los Angeles and I work with people dealing with health challenges at different levels. My clients include athletes, celebrities, musicians, and politicians among others. I also work on-call at a Sports Medicine Center and I am scheduled to be offering lectures locally and globally in English and Spanish during the rest of the year. Through the program I was able to grow professionally and as an individual. I got to develop deep relationships with my classmates, my teachers and especially my dear mentor Dr. Larry Payne. I am infinitely grateful for this Program.”

De Jur Jones, E-RYT 200
“The LMU Yoga Therapy Rx™ program has prepared me well. The program gave me the ability to confidently work with clients that have health challenges in many different healing environments, including creating therapy plans for those with terminal illnesses and aiding them in finding a way to comfortably live out final days. The instructors that come to share their expertise and wisdom are the most respected influential teachers and professors in the field of yoga therapy. Being well trained, I have found my way to responsibly serve niches that include highly traumatized communities and populations that are under-served and under-resourced (some incarcerated and court involved). I feel well versed in serving those that are “other-abled”, as well. My classes include adults and youth that are incarcerated, survivors of sexual and domestic violence, and those with anxiety and depression, to name a few. I have resources and mentors from LMU that are available to assist me when the need arises. My latest success marker is inclusion in the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) certification credentialing program. Dr. Larry Payne’s YTRx program exceeds the requirements and is the finest yoga therapy curriculum bar none.“

“I have been doing Yoga for over 40 years and teaching for over 30. I am a graduate of Dr. Larry Payne’s first Yoga Rx Therapy program at LMU. The program helped give me the confidence and knowledge to deal with complicated, injuries, health conditions, end of life care, and chronic illness/pain. I learned how to interface with doctors & work in a complimentary way to best serve my clients. I continue to teach gentle classes and private clients. I am grateful for Larry and his very competent staff.”
